WCCC Fall Print Competition Showcases Club's Work
The first Whaling City Camera Club competition for the season was held on October 16, and it demonstrated the constantly improving skills of the club's membership. With the scheduled judge sidelined by a sudden illness, winners were selected by votes from all the members present at the competition. The winning images are shown above; see the full article for a complete listing of all winners in each category.

Floral Photography: Fresh Perspective
Our next meeting puts the focus on how to photograph flowers, with a special presentation by Susan Simon, who teaches at the Cotuit Center for the Arts. A juried artist and member of the Cape Cod Art Association, Susan sums up her approach to photography:
"My objective is always to create prints that match both what my eye actually saw and the sensation I experienced on scene."
The meeting takes place at the Dartmouth Public Library (North Branch), 211 Cross Road, North Dartmouth from 7:00PM to 9:00PM.
Botanicals and the Bugs Who Love Them
Our second annual exhibit at the Westport Library includes a stunning display of floral photography from WCCC club members. Please be warned: some photos include very large insects! The competition this year was judged by Dedee Shattuck, owner of the Dedee Shattuck Gallery in Westport, and runs through the end of December
